Position: Windows Engineer – Support Engineer (Retail Banking IT)

Roles & Responsibilities
As a Desktop and Teller Lab support specialist, you will work in a team environment. In this role, you will be responsible for supporting problem resolution, call ownership, ability to resolve issues in timely manner and perform on site resolution when necessary in a multi-platform environment. You will create/maintain user accounts, set up printers, install hardware/software and configure LAN as needed.
Must be able to build and maintain Microsoft Server and Desktop hardware and software, Branch Teller application development and test environments. This includes racking and stacking hardware and deploying PCs and monitors to workstations.
Responsibilities also include network deployment, debugging and maintenance
Technical Skills:
- 3+ years of experience in Information Technology in a large corporate environment supporting Windows 2003 and Windows 2008
- 3+ years of experience in a Desktop Support role with LAN Configuration, Printer and User account setup
- Strong skills in the installation and configuration of Office Suite and Laser Printer Technology
- Strong skills in VisualStudio 2008
- Strong customer service skills, including timely response to customer inquiries and/or complaints
- Knowledge of MS SQL Server
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science or Information Technology. Master's degree in Finance, Computer Science, or Information Technology a plus.
- Knowledge of release management version and revision control practices and procedures
- Strong knowledge of development life cycles
Preferred Skills & Experience:
- Must have full life-cycle experience in large, global multi-tiered systems, preferably in the financial industry
- Excellent interpersonal relationship and communication / presentation skills
- Strong technical documentation skills
- Demonstrates initiative and is a self starter
- Prepared to challenge when business requirements seem conflicting
- Drive/Determination and knowledge
